The Supreme Judicial Council declares the two appellate courts of general and administrative jurisdiction and the court of the capital as courts in need.

The chairperson of the HCJ, Naureda Llagami, told Top Channel that the stock in these courts has reached a critical point.

"It is very urgent, I can tell you enough, some figures we should have 408 people in the system, today we have 245 people. Of these, we have 79 permanent vacancies and 84 others for whom we pay 70 percent of the salary since they are suspended", said Llagami.

However, it is not only the citizens who expect justice, the Albanian state also expects to be fined by Strasbourg for trial beyond the reasonable legal term.

"We are getting ready to be fined, there are dozens of citizens", explained Llagami.

In the draft law submitted to the Assembly, the reduction of the judicial bodies from three to one judge for administrative trials, as well as the filling of the courts with legal assistants, was found as a rescue formula.

"The school does not produce paralegals, as they do not compete. They want judges. So we are looking at the possibility of how to propose to those who from assistants have the possibility of becoming a judge".

But another proposal is to restore the norm in the work of judges.

"It is not possible for some judges to judge 200 cases and some 400", emphasized Llagami.

But with the approval and yet with the new judicial map, now the KLJJ appeals for the return of the palace of justice and at the tables with the general prosecutor Olsian Çela it was discussed that with the exception of the high court and the anti-corruption court, all the others together with the prosecutor's office gather under one roof

The time has come for the government to look at the possibility of collecting buildings in the palace of justice./ TCH
