Two luxury vehicles stolen abroad and trafficked into Albania have been seized by Tirana police.

According to the police, these are two vehicles, an Audi SQ8 and a BMW, with a combined value of around 120,000 euros.

From the investigative actions, two citizens with the initials HP, 29 years old, and KB, 50 years old, suspected of trafficking in Albania cars stolen in Germany and Switzerland, with the aim of selling them, were identified and criminally prosecuted.

The 29-year-old is suspected of having brought the stolen "Audi SQ8" vehicle, worth around 70,000 euros, from Germany, while the 50-year-old brought a stolen "BMW" from Switzerland, worth around 50,000 euros.

Tirana police announcement:

The operation codenamed "Stolen Line" continues. Two more vehicles, an "Audi SQ8" and a "BMW", worth 120,000 euros, stolen abroad and trafficked into Albania, are seized.

Two citizens suspected of having trafficked into Albania, with the intention of selling, two vehicles stolen in Germany and Switzerland, are being identified and criminally prosecuted.

As a result of the investigative and operational work, carried out in the context of the "Stolen Line" operation, with the objective of cracking down on cases of trafficking in Albania of vehicles stolen abroad, specialists from the Section for the Investigation of Illegal Trafficking cracked down on 2 other cases of this criminal activity.

Following the procedural actions:

-1 vehicle type "Audi SQ8" was seized, worth around 70,000 euros, which, upon verification, resulted to have been stolen in Germany. In this case, criminal proceedings were initiated against citizen HP, 29 years old, who is suspected of having brought the vehicle to Albania with the intention of selling it;

-1 vehicle, type "BMW", worth approximately 50,000 euros, was seized, which, upon verification, resulted to have been stolen in Switzerland. In this case, criminal proceedings were initiated against the citizen KB, 50 years old, who is suspected of having brought the vehicle to Albania with the intention of selling it.

Operation "Stolen Line" continues.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
