The Tirana police have provided details of the operation during which a weapons warehouse was discovered in Kashar.

As part of the police operation coded "Arsenal", citizen Kujtim Çaushi was arrested and Erlind Çaushi was declared wanted.

Specialists of the Crime Investigation Section at Police Station No. 6, based on the information received on the operative route, that in Kodër-Mëzes, in a warehouse, a citizen was carrying firearms of various types, they organized and successfully completed the coded police operation "Arsenal".

In the framework of this operation, the citizen was caught and arrested in flagrante delicto: Kujtim Çaushi, 62 years old, for the criminal offense of "Unauthorized possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition". Also, his son, citizen Erlind Çaushi, 35 years old, was declared wanted.

During the control carried out in the garage of the 62-year-old man, in Kodër-Mëzes, the police services found and seized as material evidence, 1 automatic rifle, 1 sniper with binoculars, 2 machine guns, 2 silencers, 2 light anti-tank grenades, 9 grenades others of various types, a significant amount of combat ammunition, 3 vehicles, one of them armored, 3 motorcycles without license plates, 1 "Jet ski" boat, 4 pairs of Albanian and foreign vehicle license plates, 2 police uniforms and 1 wig .

"We are working on the capture of the citizen Erlind Çaushi, as well as on the identification and capture of other persons implicated in this criminal activity," the police announced.
