Poland "knocked us out" of the World Cup/ Ratings: Hoxha-Hysaj stand

The Albanian national football team lost 2-1 on Thursday in Warsaw against Poland, leading to elimination from the 2026 World Cup play-off stage at the semi-final stage.

The dream of going to North America this summer was dashed for our team by goals from Lewandowski and Zielinski in the second half, which led to the reversal of Arbër Hoxha's goal.

After the match, 'FlashScore' rated all the protagonists on the field. The best for our team were Arbër Hoxha and Elseid Hysaj, rated 7.3, while Mario Mitaj was rated seven.

Poor grades were given to Thomas Strakosha, the author of an unplanned exit in conceding the first goal, Berat Gjimshiti and Nedim Bajrami, with the latter having the second goal on his feet for our team, but his shot ended up far from the goal.

Positive note for Armando Broja and Stavro Pilon, the two footballers brought on as substitutes in the second half.

The best of the match was declared the Polish midfielder, Sebastian Szymanski, who was rated with a score of 8.6, while positive grades were also given to Kiwior and Zielinski.
