A source from the US embassy in Tirana, asked by Top Channel, responded regarding the protest taking place in the capital, calling on citizens to express their positions in a legal and peaceful manner.

The embassy source emphasizes to Top Channel that acts of violence are not part of civic engagement.

"We call on citizens participating in protests to express their position in a legal and peaceful manner. Acts of violence are not part of civic engagement," the statement said.
