Two citizens from Kosovo, coming from Pristina, were escorted by the Police during the protest held today in Tirana.
According to data, the young people had traveled to Albania to join the rally, while one of them declared that he is a sympathizer of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, and the policies of the Vetëvendosje Movement.
The citizen from Pristina told police that he had arrived in Tirana on the day of the protest, together with a friend, with whom he works as a waiter. He stated that the decision to come to Albania was made following recent political developments and that their initial intention was to participate in a peaceful protest.
When asked about his reasons for participating, the young man explained that he opposed the policies of Prime Minister Edi Rama, which, according to him, conflicted with those of Albin Kurti's government in Kosovo. He also stated that he wanted to change the political system in Albania and bring to power a government closer to Vetëvendosje's policies.
The citizen denied committing any violent acts during the protest. He claimed that he had used the scarf he was wearing on his face because of the cold.
In his testimony, he stated that he had traveled from Pristina by bus, together with his friend, while in the same vehicle there were also other people from Kosovo who, according to him, had come to participate in the protest./TCH
