Florian Zekja, as a business representative, stated that the attack on private businesses creates a dangerous precedent.
"Business is not against the protests because it is about students, who are the future of the country, it is a product that ultimately interests business. But, what we are seeing these days is a precedent that has nothing to do with the protest, because attacking businesses is no small blow. Moreover, the lack of reaction of the police, the police's indifference and the targeting of a part of this protest which is directed towards business, naturally leads us to some situations that are related to 1997 and this produces a dangerous precedent ," Zekja said on A2CNN.
According to him, the police must protect the business and must also identify those people who attack it.
"Such negligence can lead to businesses defending themselves. Some businesses are staying up late to protect their businesses, but they are also withdrawing the goods they have in the store, taking them home and bringing them the next day. The protest must be separated from those groups that have goals that are not related to the students. Therefore, the responsibility of the police and the state is twofold. First of all, they must protect them because businesses, as long as they pay taxes, must be protected. And second, if there are segments that have certain goals, then they must be prevented and must be separated from the students," added Florian Zekja.
