This Thursday is the next trial session against the elected mayor of Himara, Fredi Beleri.

After the GJJKO and the Court of Durrës declared incompetence for Fredi Beler's request to be sworn in as mayor of Himara, the request has passed to the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court will decide which of the courts will examine Fredi Beleri's request.

Also present at today's session is the Greek ambassador, Konstantina Kamitsi.

Fredi Beleri was arrested in the premises of a bar in Himare, just 2 days before the local elections on May 14, after he was caught red-handed with his colleague Pandeli Kokaveshi buying votes. Beleri could not take office, as the judicial authorities did not give him permission to take the oath.
