The speech of the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, at the Assembly of the Council of Europe brought many reactions from the representatives of different political groups.

"On behalf of the PPE group, I am shocked, it was a lack of respect for this organization. The report was not Serbian or Russian, but of this organization, approved by the overwhelming majority. I am honestly speechless. I have been here for 14 years and I had never heard anything like this", said Elvira Kovács, representative of the European People's Parties and vice-president of the Parliament of Serbia.

Other representatives of various groups also expressed dissatisfaction with the speech and asked for time to debate the issue.

Prime Minister Rama responded by saying that he had not gone to Strasbourg to show disrespect for Serbia. "It is not tactless to share facts. The Serbian college is shocked, for Serbia it needs time to absorb and live with this before recognizing Kosovo. I did not come here to disrespect Serbia. I am proud to serve the truth. I claim to give the truth of my country that I proudly represent. A non-member colleague of yours was concerned that a missing person from his country was lost in the Albanian mountains and thought that they might have taken his organs", said Rama.
