President-elect Bajram Begaj held a meeting with former President Alfred Moisiu on Sunday morning.

The meeting lasted 1 hour and 30 minutes and took place in Baldushk, where the former president is staying.

Moisiu said that during the meeting they shared views on the current situation and his experience in running the country.

He said he donated two books to the current president of the Republic. One of the books was his next book "Between Nano and Berisha".

After the meeting with Alfred Moisiu, the elected president Bajram Begaj has made public a photo with the former president. Humbled and honored, writes Begaj, who is close to a wise and patriotic man like Moisiu, who already belongs to the history of the country as president of all Albanians.

Begaj and Moisiu both have several years of military acquaintance.

Bajram Begaj has been elected the new President of the Republic of Albania. The vote, which took place in the plenary session of the Assembly, was attended by 83 deputies.

Begaj was elected with 78 votes in favor, while 4 deputies voted against and there was an abstention.
