Democratic deputy Grida Duma confirmed on A2 CNN that she has severed all communication with Lulzim Basha, on the grounds that she was among the main voices who asked him to take responsibility for the loss in the local partial elections on March 6.
"It is natural that I was among the people who was the most vocal in taking his (Basha's) responsibility. It is natural. From a human point of view, I didn't want to put ourselves in any position with the people we worked with. From the political point of view, we are obliged to understand the truths".
Asked if Berisha and Basha can be together on the ground in the campaign, Duma answered that: "I don't see any problem here to ask for votes for the Democrats. Basha owes it to the Democrats".
But the analyst Lutfi Dervishi sees it differently, according to whom Basha himself does not want to return to politics under these conditions, when Russian funding has also appeared on the scene.
"In politics, you can be killed and resurrected several times, but you must know how to read your time. Nothing can be ruled out, but it does not seem to me that he is preparing to return to politics, especially after the emergence of Russian financing. Two FB photos are not a political move. Political movements are ideas. I don't see that he himself wants such a thing, I see it more as media curiosity".
Asked about her political ambition on the eve of the local elections, Duma answered that at the moment there is no ambition in the DP.
"Effort teaches you the way, there is no political journey with a defined map. This is not the moment to discuss my ambition. I am on several tasks in the DP and I represent the opposition as much as I can and I believe that I do this well".
