• The Democratic Party submits the request for the establishment of the Investigative Commission for Edi Rama's charter trips.
36 Deputies of the Assembly of Albania submitted to the Assembly the request for the establishment of the Investigative Commission "For the verification of the legality of the expenses of air travel abroad of the Prime Minister in office, from 10.09.2013 to 31.10.2022".
In the request, it is emphasized that the published facts are shocking. " It turns out that the Prime Minister traveled abroad 137 times by private "charter" type plane, not counting other trips by plane of ordinary lines with intervals of 3-4 days from one another. It turns out that even during the Covid-19 pandemic crisis , the Prime Minister has made about 20 trips by "charter" plane. The figure of 137 "charter" trips is twice more than the number of trips of the former American President George W. BUSH, who, in two terms, had made 74 flights with the US presidential plane "Air Force One".
The opposition has continuously denounced the misuse of funds and public money by the Prime Minister, making public many concrete examples of these abuses. The investigative media has also published a lot of data and details about the Prime Minister's trips abroad.
