The former chairman of the Democratic Party Lulzim Basha is reported to have paid a visit to the United States of America a few days ago, while Sali Berisha has commented on this development.

Berisha said that Basha has gone to the US at least three times, but was denied entry due to the problems he has there, and that he may have recently lobbied to be allowed to visit American soil.

Journalist Çim Peka alluded that Basha may have gone to the USA in the form of "repentant", but Berisha said that he is not endangered by his testimony, even if this were the case.
