Today's plenary session was accompanied by debates between the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, and the Speaker of the Parliament, Niko Peleshi.
During his speech, Berisha accused the majority of blocking amendments proposed by the opposition, describing Pelesh as an "enemy of the Constitution" and the European integration process.
"You will remain in the history of this country as the most slandered vassal of Edi Rama, as a fierce enemy of the Constitution and the constitutional rights of MPs, as a fierce enemy of the integration process of Albania. It has been a month since the amendments to amend the laws have been submitted, which the EU, the European Commission, the EP, are seeking to be annulled and amended, which the most powerful protest after the '90s, youth, citizens, is seeking to be annulled and you are ignoring them as if they do not exist," Berisha said.
For his part, Peleshi reacted by asking the former prime minister to respect parliamentary ethics.
"I do not address you as 'you', Mr. Berisha. Please do not exceed parliamentary ethics," said Peleshi, then interrupting him.
