Violent clashes between police and protesters on Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard, in front of the Prime Minister's Office, which lasted several hours on the fifth day of the protest, culminated in the evening hours with the burning of public institutions and private businesses.

Upon retreating from the boulevard, where the stones thrown at the police and the tear gas and water cannons thrown at the protesters did not stop, the young people initially set fire to the entrance of the former Dajti Hotel, which is now a building of the Bank of Albania.

The High Court, at the entrance to "Myslym Shyri" street, was not spared from the fire either. The flames that broke out in a private business also endangered the court's archive, but the fire was brought under control after the intervention of the fire brigade.

Inside "Myslym Shyri" street, protesters also set fire to a branch of a second-tier bank and then continued their march. It was firefighters who brought the situation back under control.

Earlier during the clash on the Boulevard, protesters unexpectedly managed to force this car into the area, where they took items and pyrotechnics and then burned it.

The clash resulted in injuries on both sides, both among the protesters and police officers. One of them caught fire in the leg due to a thrown Molotov cocktail, but fortunately the situation did not escalate.

The head of the state police, Skënder Hita, also arrived on the boulevard, because the chief police officer of Tirana, Oliver Torba, was injured.

RENEA forces were also seen engaged near the Prime Minister's Office.

After moving from the Boulevard, just like the protesters marching in the city, the police began patrolling the neighborhoods of Tirana to disperse them and prevent them from gathering.

During the patrol, tear gas was fired and arrests were made.

The protest began peacefully in the morning in front of the Ministry of Education, on "Rruga e Durrës", while later the calls against the government gave way to acts of violence and clashes with the police.
