After Enkelejd Alibeaj stated that the majority broke the agreement for the negotiations on the President, the SP reacted immediately.

The head of the SP Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla declares that they are sticking to the agreement with the opposition, where according to him the majority will not propose a name in the second and third round. Balla says that Alibeaj has misunderstood the agreement, as there was no agreement for the SP to support the opposition candidates.

"I think that the fact that other opposition groups have understood the same thing that we have understood, that the chairman of the parliamentary group Aliebaj after understanding something else to bring back and once the discussion, We have been very clear. In time we are for dictated again.We propose neither in the second round nor in the third round.But the opposition has every chance of not wasting the two rounds.Let them come up with more names.We need to be heard.Or should to resolve these names o no, we did not agree so, as we have our right to propose.We will wait for the round of 4. Balla calls on the opposition to continue talks and file candidacies for the new President.

“Kemi rënë dakord me të gjitha kriteret me parakushtet që ishin vënë aty, janë kritere të përcaktuar nga kushtetuta. Sa i përket procesit tre gjëra duhet të jenë themelore. E drejta e gjithë palëve për të propozuar, dakordësia ka qenë në raundin e dytë dhe tretë nuk do propozojnë dhe pastaj nëse nuk do jetë zgjedhur presidenti, e zgjedhim në raundin e katërt që duhet të vijën nga PS me firmat e grupit parlamentar. Jemi të gatshëm që të negociojmë emra, tre grupet e opozitës mund të vijën me emra. Ata ia kanë mundësitë të propozojnë dy kandidatë, ti depozitojnë dy kandidaturat jemi të gatshëm që sapi ti depozitojmë të ulemi e të vlerësojmë mundësinë e votimi, nëse ne dhe grup i parlamentar i PS do i vendosin t’i mbështesin. Kushtetuta është mbi çdo lloj marrëveshje dhe dokumenti tjetër, Dini gjë sesi mund të quhet dikush kandidat nëse ia nuk është depozituar me 20 firma mbështetëse”,tha Balla.
