Gazment Bardhi responded to Sali Berisha, after the latter's statements to the CDU deputy that he should not interfere in the internal elections of the Democratic Party. Bardhi makes it clear that Berisha must now give up the hostage-taking of the PD for his interests, as he is risking declaring the party non grata in PPE.

"Sali Berisha must listen to the appeal of international partners and stop taking the DP hostage for his interests. Following the clear position of the US, European partners are already talking about the risk of isolation of the DP if Sali Berisha continues with the project to take the DP hostage. Through a Twitter post, Bardhi writes that Berisha can not pretend not to listen to the calls of international partners and continue with the isolation of the Democratic Party.

But Berisha responded by saying that it is a completely personal attitude and that he feels bad for Krichbaum if he thinks he can interfere in the DP elections.
