Blendi Klosi was presented today in front of the structures of the Socialist Party in Vlora, as the leader of this District, accompanied by the General Secretary of the SP Damian Gjiknuri.

The decision to appoint Klos as head of the Vlora District was taken at the meeting of the Presidency of the Socialist Party, as Prime Minister Edi Rama "stripped" Arben Ahmeatj from any function in the SP. Klosi was previously a political leader in Vlora, in the years 2007-2009.

What was noticed in today's meeting with the structures of Vlora, was exactly the absence of Ahmetaj, when asked by journalists, Gjiknuri said that he had been notified to be present in today's meeting.

Regarding the absence of Arben Ahmetaj in Vlora, MP Damian Gjiknuri said that Prime Minister Edi Rama has also responded to this.

"The Prime Minister has also responded to this. These are normal moves forward before election campaigns, where everyone takes their position as a player, for the team to give their best. Ahmetaj was informed about today's meeting, but as far as I know, he was busy with work. I believe that Klosi will continue the good works started in terms of good management and good political organization of this district", said Gjiknuri.

At the meeting, the mayor Dritan Leli was absent, as Klosi added that the Socialist Party has a duty to be with the citizens.

"For any socialist, it is a great honor to lead the life of the party in Vlora. To achieve the same results that this party has achieved throughout the post-transition period. The party, which proved to be successful because it was together. Our task is to be together with the citizens. Vlora as a big county needs a lot.

Do not try to divide the people. The assessment for everyone is how it serves the citizens. Very soon we will start the procedures for the work of the mayors throughout the country" , said Klosi.

Voxnews has reported earlier that after leaving the Government at the same time that Ilir Meta was ending the mandate of the President, Arben Ahmetaj's days at the head of the SP of Vlora were numbered. The division planted by him in this district was so deep that even the socialist deputies themselves did not have normal communication with each other.

The created situation made his departure inevitable before the local elections next year.
