Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani spoke in an interview with "Syri TV" about what happened during the negotiations for the election of the new head of state.

She said that Albin Kurti had told her to try to convince the opposition to stay in the hall in order to meet the quorum.

But, at the same time, Osmani said that Kurti was working behind her back with other candidates.

She said that she has never set conditions for Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

"I have never conditioned Kurti. The only thing I have proposed is that I be given a chance to go to the hall, to see how many MPs will be in the hall because I had contacts with MPs and guarantees that they would not boycott."

"What happened was that behind my back, many other candidates were being worked on, and I understood from television that other candidates were being worked on, while I was told to try to convince the opposition ," said Vjosa Osmani.
