Aleksandar Vučić: Vjosa Osmani appeared as a star at the "Peace

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has commented on the participation of Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani in the “Peace Board” established by Donald Trump. In an interview with the German newspaper “Süddeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung”, Vučić said that she appeared “like a star” and “this is what we expected from Trump”.

Speaking about the Trump administration, Vučić said he expected Washington to react "more decisively" to the policies of the Kosovo government.

"I hope for a more determined stance against the regime of (Prime Minister Albin) Kurti... They are provoking all Serbs in Kosovo and there is also the so-called Peace Board where Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani appears as a star. We did not expect this from the Trump administration," he said.

Vučić further rejected allegations of excessive force used against protesting students, claiming that violence was used against the police.

Asked if he would like to enjoy the advantages of the EU's single market without pressure to ensure the rule of law and democratization, Vučić said the pressure should remain in place. "They should always be able to say - you are not good enough," he said.
