For years, Ukraine has refused to recognize Kosovo, but apparently the country, which is facing the Russian war, has changed its attitude.
A Ukrainian deputy in a reaction on social networks has announced that he has submitted to the Parliament a draft law on the recognition of Kosovo's independence.
The former chief diplomat of Kosovo, Petrit Selimi, also reacted to this decision, saying that the Ukrainian people now know who their real friends are, as they always maintained friendly relations with the Serbs.
"Important initiative by the Ukrainian MPs, calling for the recognition of Kosovo. For years, Ukraine has refused to recognize Kosovo, maintaining friendly relations with Serbia. After the genocidal Russian invasion, Ukraine knows who its true friends are. Certainly not Putin's apologists", wrote Selimi.
