The moment the rocket falls

The footage below shows the moment six Russian commanders are killed in a Ukrainian ambush. They were walking in convoy with two cars when the anti-tank missile hit them, as this dramatic moment was filmed by the cameras.

The footage, believed to have been captured on the Donbas frontline near Avdiivka, shows the first vehicle blown up before the second overturned.

The video was posted online on Friday by Anatonly Shtefan, who is a colonel in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Stefan, who goes by the nickname 'Stirlitz' on social media, said the attack was carried out by troops of the 56th Motorized Brigade.

According to Ukraine's defense ministry, this brigade is currently operating around Avdiivka, located a few miles north of the Russian-controlled city of Donetsk.
