The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has called on the international community to think about the families of those missing from the war in Kosovo. She called on the international community to put pressure on Serbia to open the archives.

"I call on the entire international community, all the allies of Kosovo, I would say to all the human rights allies, to think a little about the mothers, the sisters, the brothers, the parents, the family members of those children who are still are in the mass cemeteries, in which Serbia is still sleeping 25 years after the war" , Osmani said after paying tribute to the Memorial for the Missing in Pristina, on the occasion of the International Day of the Disappeared.

She said that they should think about the fact that even 25 years after the war, the same people who caused the violent disappearance are at the head of Serbia.

"We very much hope that the dialogue in Brussels will not be a process through which pressure will be put on Kosovo, injustice will be done to the people of Kosovo, while the face of Vucic, a man who still sleeps on a mass grave, it will continue to be unfairly washed away",  Osmani said.

She added that Serbia continues to violate the agreements reached in Brussels and Ohrid.

"Despite the fact that during this year an agreement was reached in Brussels, and then the annex in Ohrid, which has created a clear obligation for Serbia to open all the archives containing information about the mass graves and the location of the missing persons with violence during the war in Kosovo, despite the request of the Governmental Commission made as early as the beginning of June this year, to the president of Serbia to open all those archives in accordance with the agreements, unfortunately Serbia still continues to make flagrant violations of these obligations and I would also say that she continues to repeat her crime by hiding the location of missing persons", said Osmani.

She added that the missing in Kosovo are the deepest wound and the greatest pain in Kosovo.
