Mystery in Italy! A woman and a baby are found dead in a lake

Two dead bodies, of a woman and a child about one year old, were found in an artificial lake in Castelguglielmo, in the province of Rovigo, on Saturday afternoon.

The alarm was raised by a passerby, who immediately notified the authorities. The bodies were pulled from the water by firefighters, while a helicopter with a team of divers from Bologna arrived in the area to carry out further checks on the water surface.

The investigation is still in its early stages and no possibility has been ruled out, from a possible accident to a deliberate act. Law enforcement is working at the scene to clarify the circumstances that led to this serious incident.

The victims have not yet been identified, making it unclear whether they are a mother and son. A stroller was also found near the scene.

The case is being investigated by the Carabinieri, under the direction of the Rovigo prosecutor's office. According to an initial check, the bodies show no signs of violence. Meanwhile, the person who raised the alarm has been questioned by the authorities.
