The mayor of Kiev, Vitali Klitschko, also a famous former boxer, from Davos to Switzerland conveyed a message to Albanians, after meeting with the well-known journalist from Presevo Nefail Maliqi.

In a conversation with the local newspaper "Le Canton 27", he thanked the Albanians and Kosovo for their military support, but also for solidarity with the Ukrainian people, saying that the Ukrainians are fighting against the Russian occupiers, as the Albanians fought with the Serbs. ”.

"I am very glad to have met for the first time an Albanian journalist, which is a good opportunity to convey a message to you, the Albanian people in the Balkans. We have heard and read that you Albanians, like us Ukrainians, are a freedom-loving and peace-loving people. "Today we are fighting against the Russian regime that is trying to invade Ukraine, like you who were once occupied by Serbia," Klitschko said.

As expected, the Serbian public reacted angrily to this statement, calling it scandalous and unacceptable.

The World Economic Forum is currently being held in Davos, bringing together the world's biggest leaders.
