MEP Riho Terras has expressed concern that Serbia may attack Kosovo, inspired by Russia and President Vladimir Putin. He said that NATO and the European Union must remain strong. 

"The reports from Kosovo are very disturbing. The representative of Putlers (a pun on the names Putin and Hitler) Serbia is learning from its big brother and can attack Kosovo. We must remain strong in NATO and the Committee for Foreign Affairs in the European Parliament," Terras wrote on Twitter.

Tensions have started since from August 1, citizens who have cars with plates bearing the abbreviations of the cities of Kosovo - which are issued by Serbia - will be able to re-register their cars with RKS (Republic of Kosovo) plates. Also, from August 1, all citizens of Serbia, who will enter the territory of Kosovo, will be equipped with a temporary entry-exit document, which will replace personal identification documents from Serbia. Serbia has applied the same practice for citizens of Kosovo for 11 years. But it does not accept the opposite.
