Erdogan warns Vucic about Kosovo: It is not the Turkey of the '90s
Erdogan and Vucic

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a tense telephone conversation with his Serbian counterpart Aleksandar Vucic, reminding the latter that he should change his approach to Kosovo, as he told him, "Turkey is not the one from the 90s" . This is a clear message that for every step towards Kosovo, it will have something to do with Turkey.

The conversation was a reaction to the latest developments in the North and out of diplomatic courtesy. The Turkish media say that the language of the Turkish president was sharp, advising him, but mostly warning Vucic, not to continue with threats or romanticizing Kosovo, making it clear to the Serbian president that there will be no concession or tolerance, Kosovo was violated.

In recent years, Turkey has returned to an economic, military and diplomatic power at the global level. It has also expanded economically in the Balkans, including Serbia, forcing the latter to be dependent on it.
