Ukrainian MP: Our grandmothers are poisoning Russian soldiers
Zviatoslav Yurash and Blendi Fevziu

Zviatoslav Yurash is the youngest member of the Ukrainian Parliament, who became a lawmaker for the first time at the age of 23.

In a Skype connection to the Opinion show, Yurash shared what is happening in Ukraine and where the Russian bombing is currently concentrated.

He said the Ukrainian army, civilians and volunteers were resisting. According to him, even Ukrainian grandmothers are poisoning Russian soldiers.

Blendi Fevziu : How old are you?

Zviatoslav Yurash: 26 years old, I was 23 when I was elected MP. I am from the western part of Ukraine, the part that was attacked today by hundreds of missiles.

Blendi Fevziu: Where are you staying?

Zviatoslav Yurash: I speak from Kiev, I just returned from Kharkiv where there are still clashes and military attacks and we see that the clashes have passed from the eastern part. The reality there is horrible. Beyond our obligations, I am also an MP and came back here to work. There are attacks and explosions day and night, if you walk down the street you see a sad reality with Russians trying to destroy the city. But Kharkiv is a big city.

Blendi Fevziu: It seems that hundreds of thousands of civilians are left in the middle of the fighting. what happens to civilians?

Zviatoslav Yurash: They die, the reality is that when it occupies a residential area and millions of people have lived in that area and the Russians are not afraid to use heavy artillery, and the people living in those areas are dying, there are countless civilians dying in that area. I see this in Kharkiv. We get it from grandmothers who are poisoning soldiers. The whole nation is resisting, the Russians do not know what to do. Albania is very strong, it is a member of NATO. Ukraine is showing the world what is happening, it is showing that it is able to join NATO. We hope that Albania will continue to support us.

Blendi Fevziu : How many refugees have left the country?

Zviatoslav Yurash: There are more than 4 million people. There are many who leave and return. It is very difficult to define reality.

Blendi Fevziu: Are the supply lines working?

Zviatoslav Yurash: The reality is that all these thousands of volunteers are trying to help us as they go to places where there is most need.
