The International Seminar on Albanian Language, Literature and Culture has opened its 41st edition.

"Albanian in danger" and "Albanian literature and interculturalism" were the topics that according to speakers are necessary to address.

The British Ambassador to Kosovo, Nicholas Abbott, addressed the albanian-language audience, stressing the importance of preserving it.

"In an era characterised by globalization and technological advances the importance of preserving languages and promoting cultural exchange has never been more critical. The Albanian language with its high origin and unique linguistic features is a testimony to the sustainability and perseverance of a people.

Yet this language is facing extinction threats as modern forces and global connections overshadow its importance. "What we risk losing is not just one means of communication but an entire literary sphere that has enriched our collective understanding of human experience," he said.
