Vjosa Osmani invites Turkish President Erdogan to visit Kosovo

President Vjosa Osmani hosted the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey, Mehmet Kemal Bozay.

They discussed deepening relations between the two countries, while Osmani repeated the invitation to her Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to visit Kosovo.

According to the presidency's announcement, at the meeting Osmani has asked Turkey's support for Kosovo's integration into international organizations.

"With The Vice Minister Kemal Bozay, President Osmani discussed bilateral cooperation, the organization of a two-state business forum, as well as cooperation in the field of foreign policy, defence, security, health and other areas of mutual interest. President Osmani reiterated the invitation to her counterpart, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, for a visit to the Republic of Kosovo, at an appropriate time for both sides.


This meeting also discussed the political and security developments in the country.

"President Osmani stressed that the presence of the Kosovo Special Police in and around the municipalities in the north has already been reduced, while the work is continuing to complete the legal infrastructure for holding new elections in the four northern municipalities through a petition from citizens," the statement said.
