Raiffeisen Bank

A message from an Albanian phone number has reached the addresses of thousands of Raiffeisen Bank subscribers .

The message aims to get customers' bank account details and then steal them.

But, despite previous attempts to steal data, the lack of reaction from the second-tier bank is worrying.

No announcement has been made public by the bank, neither informing nor denouncing. In such cases, when fraudsters mention an institution, be it a bank, there is always a reaction.

This is to ensure that customers are not deceived and their data is not stolen.

It is not known why this silence, at least in public, occurs, while in such cases, orientation and subsequent referral of cases to law enforcement agencies are necessary.

Such situations bring uncertainty, with banking data often at the center of attacks.

Especially in these times, where everyone has them on their phones and payments are made online, without a physical card.

VoxNews has learned that the message has reached the phone numbers of Raiffeisen Bank subscribers. There are suspicions that the bank's systems may be the victim of a cyber attack.

And, by obtaining the customers' numbers and data, the hackers have also sent them a message.

"Raiffeisen: To avoid suspension of your services, please confirm your identity before July 21 via: https://raiffeisen-rinovoj.com," is the content of the message.

And, to make it more believable that the bank is hiding behind these lines, the number from which these messages came is "069 846 1123".

A sophisticated scheme, since the number is Albanian, even the text. The people or groups hiding behind this message were specifically targeting customers.

They direct them to a website, where after providing their data, the entire account was then stolen.

In this case, we are dealing with fraud with serious consequences, while what is most surprising, at least in public, remains Raiffeisen Bank's lack of reaction!
