Saranda police have arrested 24-year-old Xhanelo Taraj from Laçi, who killed 41-year-old Klodian Bakiaj from Tepelena with a knife yesterday afternoon. His brother, 18-year-old Xhoi Taraj , was also handcuffed, as they were both at the time of the crime near a hotel in Saranda where the two brothers were employed.
"These 2 citizens, in cooperation with each other, are suspected that yesterday evening, on the street "Lefter Kalo", in district no. 1, Sarandë, after a momentary conflict, for weak motives, for a parking space nearby of the hotel, where the brothers were employed, hit with a cutting tool (knife), citizen Klodian Bakiaj, 41 years old, resident of Tepelena, who as a result of the injuries received, died in the hospital of Saranda." it is stated in the Police announcement.
The Blues of Saranda have also handcuffed the citizen Genci Ahmeti , 41 years old, administrator of the hotel where the two Taraj brothers were employed, after he refused to tell the circumstances of this incident for the crime committed by his workers, as well as having committed actions for concealing evidence related to this event.
The two brothers are accused of the criminal offenses of "Intentional grievous bodily harm" resulting in death, carried out in collaboration and "Unauthorized production, possession, purchase or sale of cold weapons", while Genci Ahmeti is charged with the criminal offenses of "Failing a crime" and "Actions that prevent the discovery of the truth".
It is suspected that the cause of the conflict that ended in tragedy was a parking space. It is known that Klodian Bakiaj, who remained dead after receiving two stab wounds in the chest, had parked in front of the restaurant where Xhanelo Tarja worked.
The materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance in Saranda, for further action.
