VIDEO/ Illegal hunting with drone in the forests of Shkodra, 5 people in

A group of hunters ended up in handcuffs while carrying out illegal activities in the killing of wild animals in the forests of Shkodra.

The operation, codenamed "Hunters", also led to the seizure of a large quantity of weapons and ammunition, as well as drones used by the suspects to track animals and then target them.

The illegal activity was carried out in the village of Rragam, during night hours, in violation of the hunting moratorium.

At the time of the arrest by the Police, these citizens were found in their vehicle, 2 firearms (1 pistol, 1 rifle), 2 shotguns, combat ammunition, 1 drone and 1 killed bird. During the search of the apartment of one of the arrested, a quantity of cannabis was found.

Shkodra Police Announcement:

"The services of the Shkodra Police Commissariat, based on the plan of measures drafted by the Shkodra Local Police Directorate, to prevent and crack down on cases of illegal hunting, have carried out checks in various areas of the Shkodra district.  

During the checks, in the village of Rragam, the Police services have found 5 citizens who were carrying out illegal hunting. During the check in the vehicle in which these citizens were traveling, the following were found: 1 pistol firearm, 1 rifle firearm, 1 single-shotgun, 1 shotgun, combat ammunition, 1 drone and 1 killed bird, which were seized as material evidence.  


During the search of citizen EM's apartment, the Police services found a quantity of suspected narcotic substance Cannabis Sativa, which was also seized as material evidence.

At the conclusion of the actions in this case, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Shkodra Police Commissariat arrested the following citizens:

The procedural materials were referred to the Shkodra Prosecution Office, for further action, for the criminal offenses "Illegal possession and production of weapons, explosive weapons and ammunition", "Illegal production and possession of hunting and sporting weapons", "Damage to protected species of wild flora and fauna" and "Production and sale of narcotics".
