The National Food Authority has undertaken a control action in the plant protection products market, discovering violations in the city of Durrës.

On October 22, 2025, the Durrës Regional Directorate of the National Agricultural Agency conducted an inspection at the entity "Cultiva", which carries out activities in the wholesale trade of plant protection products.

During the inspection, inspectors found that the shelf life of the products did not comply with those approved by the Ministry of Agriculture and specified in the official registration files.

As a result, a quantity of 2,999.6 kilograms of PPP products was blocked, while the entity was required to withdraw from the market another 6,270.98 kilograms, which had already been put on sale, in accordance with traceability rules.

Following the procedures, the Durrës AKU has collaborated with the Economic Crime sector, and the case has been referred to the Prosecutor's Office for further legal action.
