Attempted murder in Kukës, 47-year-old arrested

The Kukës police have arrested two suspects for a serious criminal incident that occurred on September 5, 2025, in neighborhood no. 5 of the city.

According to the official announcement, the incident occurred at around 9:00 PM, when, after a conflict over weak motives, a gun was fired at citizen HA. Fortunately, no one was injured in the shooting.

After investigations, the police were able to identify and arrest the suspected perpetrator, citizen Frank Dida, 47 years old, resident of the village of Pobreg.

He was previously convicted of illegal possession of weapons and is now charged with the criminal offenses of "Attempted Murder" and "Unauthorized Possession of Weapons, Explosives and Ammunition".

As part of the operation, his sister's son, citizen SJ, 23 years old, resident of Kukës, was also arrested, who is accused of "Failure to Report a Crime", as he is suspected of being present during the event and not informing the authorities.
