The hearing in the Special Court for the "Sterilization" case has been postponed again this Wednesday.

It is learned that the reason for this was the absence of the lawyer of the former Deputy Minister of Health, Klodian Rrapaj .

Meanwhile, the next session will be held on October 1, at 2:00 PM. 

Today's hearing was expected to deliver the final conclusions on the case involving 8 defendants.

The trial is being conducted in a shortened procedure, as the GJKKO has previously decided to separate the case for the "Sterilization" file, where former minister Ilir Beqaj will be tried separately from the other 8 defendants. 

Beqaj has been in prison since July 4, 2024, for abusing funds from the State Agency for Strategic Programming and Aid Coordination (SASPAC).

But he is also being investigated regarding two concessions in Health, Sterilization and Check-up. He was officially named a defendant by SPAK for the 100 million euro sterilization concession.
