The Special Prosecutor's Office has confiscated the property of Vito Biba, sentenced in Italy to 20 years in prison. The property in the name of Englanina Biba was also confiscated. It is about the confiscation of a number of apartments in Tirana.

Pursuant to Normative Act No. 1, dated 31.01.2020, at the request of the Special Prosecutor's Office, the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime with decision No. 6 dated 27.01.2023 decided to confiscate the assets of the entities Vito (Vehap) Biba (who, by decision No. SIEP442/2011 dated 27.09.2013, of the Court of Bescia, Italy, was sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment for the criminal offense "Trafficking in narcotics", carried out in cooperation, provided for by the Criminal Code Italian) and Englangina Biba (who, by decision no. 45 dated 27.07.2011, of the Court of First Instance for Serious Crimes in Tirana, has pleaded guilty to the criminal offense of "Production and sale of narcotics", carried out in cooperation) as well as related persons.

The Special Court of Appeals for Corruption and Organized Crime with decision no. 102 dated 06.07.2023 left in effect decision no. 6 dated 27.01.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime.

With these decisions, the Courts have ordered the confiscation of assets as follows:

1. "Plot" property with an area of ​​352.6 m2 with a building area of ​​138.2 m2, Tirana, owned by Vito Biba;

2. "Unit" property with an area of ​​292.8 m2, address Tirana, owned by Eglantina Biba;

3. "Unit" property with an area of ​​274.8 m2, address Tirana, owned by Eglantina Biba;

4. "Apartment" property with an area of ​​263.8 m2, address Tirana, staircase area 19.8 m2, veranda area 36.3 m2, owned by Eglantina Biba;
