STUDENT LOAN/ Applications with conditions and selection start from October!

Albanian students will have the opportunity for the first time, starting from October, to apply for student loans to pay off academic fees and cover living costs. 

For this loan, the guarantor for the students will be the state, while the interest rate will not change until the end of the contract.

"It is a decision that came very late from the Ministry of Education. I think it will help students to cover their expenses if they don't want to become a burden to the family like many students have to do or have to get another job to keep their studies", says the student of the Faculty of Law, Driola The edge.

Although an aid, not all students will be beneficiaries. The selection will be made on the basis of several priorities, such as the value of the loan, following studies in priority programs, or previous results during studies.

"I think that the list of priorities is actually a problem because the loan that is being given is a consumer loan, so it is only helping the student to survive in the climate in Tirana or the city where he has chosen to study, which shows that students have to go through a process scanning to benefit survival in Tirana" , says Kraja.
