The preliminary hearing for the case of former President Ilir Meta has been postponed this Tuesday due to the absence of Monika Kryemadhi's lawyer. The hearing has been postponed to November 11.
The hearing began at 09:00 and Judge Irena Gjoka was expected to decide whether the case will proceed to trial or be returned for further investigation.
Former President Meta has been arrested since October last year and is accused of passive corruption, money laundering and concealment of assets. The investigations against him were closed by SPAK on July 28, while the file was sent to trial at the end of August.
Meanwhile, the GJKKO has rejected Meta's requests for a change in the security measure, while on October 16, the Supreme Court also rejected the former president's appeal for the same request.
