Kukes Airport, built to handle international flights, is being used for a completely different purpose: luxury car racing for  "London chicks" .

The runway, which has not hosted any passenger flights for more than two years, is filled with powerful cars such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche , etc., which were seen doing laps and races on the now silent runway for aircraft.

This airport, inaugurated with fanfare as a major project for the development of the north, has remained out of operation due to the lack of regular flights and low interest from airlines.


The use of the runway as a racing venue has once again raised questions about the function and management of this public investment, while residents express disappointment that the airport, promised as a " gateway for immigrants ", has today become an attraction for luxury cars.
