The grandfather of Leandro Shametaj, the 17-year-old who lost his life after an accident in Vlora, has stated that his grandson was returning from work when the tragic event occurred.

The 17-year-old's grandfather pointed out that he worked as a waiter and was returning home at 12 midnight.

He points out that for 8 hours the coroner has not taken any action to retrieve the young man's body.

" I am the boy's grandfather. Last night at 12 o'clock in the morning, the nephew, the maid's son, had an accident. And he came to the morgue of the Vlora hospital. We have been waiting for 8 hours, the coroner has not come to help us do her work. There are 30 police officers here and they are not taking measures to bring the coroner and the prosecutor to do the work so that we can get the body."

"A car killed our son and drove away at a speed of 200 km per hour in the city of Vlora and no police patrol came to stop him. I have not seen my grandson with my own eyes. He is not a criminal. He was coming home from work, he worked as a waiter ," said the grandfather.
