The number of drivers who tried to bribe the police officer has reached 67.

Today, the citizen with the initials Sh.Sh. who was stopped by the police for not wearing a seat belt and using a mobile phone while driving, attempted to bribe police officers by offering them a sum of money.

"The number of vehicle drivers, who tried to bribe Police employees, in order to avoid legal obligations or administrative measures, reaches 67.

During the preventive checks, the services of the Traffic Police Station, on "Dritan Hoxha" street, stopped the vehicle driven by citizen Sh. Sh., as he was using the mobile device and did not wear his seat belt.

In order to avoid the administrative measure, this citizen tried to bribe the Police officers, offering them a sum of money.

Following the actions, the procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for the criminal offense of "Active corruption of persons exercising public functions", says the police announcement.
