In less than three years, 16 people were killed in mafia attacks between the new gangs of Elbasan. Nine from one side, seven from the other. All the people of that world showed that they were the same... They betrayed their former friends behind their backs. This is how this war began in the Bradashesh massacre.
"The Çopja brothers, our early friends, were the financiers and the orderers. The organizer was Mikael Qosja."
The triple assassination in December 2018 of Endrit Alibej, his uncle Arben Dylgjeri and Turkish citizen Erdal Durunay, the Alibejs' closest partner in cocaine trafficking, was the signal for a war where intrigue, treachery and betrayal would accompany every corner.... An event that opened Pandora's box, brought to the surface the new gangs, political connections and fearsome killers that dominated the city.
"Hajdar Çopja had contacted Mikael Kamami. Kel Kamami was the organizer and the one who knew the boys. The boys were Talo Çela, Altin Ndoci, Miri Kolës, Dorjan Shkoza, and other people who will come out later that we will have time to talk about, but they are for other events."
At the time of his execution, his brother, Erjon Alibej, was wanted by the police for assault. For this reason, he did not have a phone.
That night, on the eve of New Year's Eve, he distributed turkeys as gifts like every year, a family ritual for friends and relatives.
The last order was a notary. But that's where it all stops...
The son-in-law of the family, Besmir Lala, who was accompanying him, receives a phone call. It was Erjon's wife. With screams and screams, she informs him that Endrit had been shot!
Ironically, at that moment, a white BMW X6 pulled up in front of him. At the wheel was Mikael Qosja, the man who had organized his brother's murder.
"At the moment I was talking to Besmir Lala, Mikael Qosja's car looks at me, and it doesn't park where it left for the park, it's coming straight towards me, the moment it comes towards me, I look at it and roll down the window, the moment it rolls down the window, I ask him if you have an iron there. Iron means a weapon. He says no, why, what do you have? I don't speak to him at all and I go to the place where the incident had happened. The incident had happened in Bradashesh. I quickly go there."
Erjon Alibej, arrived first at the scene, before the police or ambulance, even though the incident had occurred several minutes earlier. Alibej, now a justice collaborator, alludes that the assassins may have been aided by the state.
"I have endless names to say, Endriti worked at high levels", Alibej's confession that warns of shocking files
In the audio story revealed for the first time by Inside Story, Erjoni recounts that there was usually a police patrol at the site where his family members were executed. But on the night of the crime, even though it was the eve of the holidays, the usual patrol had disappeared... this sparked suspicions.
"I tried to help Endrit with a lot of force, but it was useless, because he had taken all the bullets in one side.. In the operating room, I waited behind the door, I remember telling the doctor: "I'll give you my life if you just bring my brother back to life." Then I got the news that he had passed away...."
That moment was the end of Endrit. A cocaine boss unknown to the public, but well-known in the drug business. But it was the beginning of a war that would set Elbasan on fire. A war that would reveal two groups that had never been mentioned, but that were circulating hundreds of millions of euros from narcotics trafficking.
"Endrit was a man who had many acquaintances in the drug trade. Many acquaintances, many connections, and he was one of those people that everyone wanted to work with. A man with potential, because he was very capable, and he had many opportunities for inside sales. Everyone needed him. When I say everyone, I have endless names, endless to say..."
"What is he doing here?! Oh my god, I want to find him a home", Alibej: Brother helped his killer in the Netherlands...
After the murder of Endrit Alibej, the web of intrigue escalated. Everyone accused each other. Alibej was surrounded by unknown enemies...
The Çapja group, in early conflict with Suel Çela, blamed the massacre on the latter.
According to Alibej, on the day of Endrit's funeral, Bledar Muca, who was the right-hand man of the Çapjas, told him that "Only he commits these massacres." So, an intrigue that aimed to put the Alibejs at war with Suel Çela.
On the other hand, the Çopja brothers continued their double game by linking Sueli to the incident because Erjon Alibey had injured his cousin.
Suel Cela himself, in a face-to-face meeting with Erjon Alibej, gives him the exact names of his brother's killers.
"I didn't have any harassment because both from Sueli's side and from the other family, it was something that we had closed. It was a closed conflict, everything. The problem was closed, everything, regarding Xoni Rusta. He hurt my uncle, I hurt him, even though he was at fault."
After the murder of his brother, Erjon Alibey becomes a fearsome character. He begins to collect evidence, names and connections that lead to the killers. Every detail, every movement, every friend who turns into an enemy, is recorded by his mind.
Erjoni no longer trusted anyone except himself and his family. He investigated and conducted his own field investigations. Disguised as a pizza delivery man, he went around the city gathering information about his brother's assassins.
"I mean, I had 90% of the history of my family members clarified. On my own, with my own resources, and the resources of my family members, not from the state."
His brother's killers were his old friends. They were the Çopja brothers.
Franci, the youngest of the Çopja brothers, also went to offer condolences after Endrit's murder, leaving 50 euros on the coffin...
A silent act that Erjon Alibej did not forget in his testimony. He even recalled that "Dari", the eldest of the Çopja brothers, once started the dark path of trafficking with the help of his victim, Endrit...
"I'm going to the Netherlands to meet Endrit. The day I went to the Netherlands, in Rotterdam, he lived in a building, the building was called GOLD. The day I went home, that day I found Hajdar Çopjan at home. An early acquaintance, because he's from Elbasan. I meet him normally. At one point, I catch up with Endrit, but I tell him what he's doing here? He says, 'What a pity.' I want to help him, as long as I find him a house."
While Erjon Alibey was searching for the executioners of his family members, his opponents were not sitting idly by.....They eliminated his relatives one by one.
6 months after the murder of Endrit Alibej, the Baho brothers, Erjon's closest people, fall prey to a mafia assassination. The target was Sandër Baho, known by the nickname "Sakati". But his younger brother Klevi remained the victim.....
The two brothers were ambushed in the village of Broshkë, very close to their home. According to the investigation file, the assassins' vehicle was driven by Talo Çela, while the executioners were Altin Ndoci and Besmir Haxhia.
After the first shots, Klevi Baho got out of the vehicle and returned fire with a pistol. After this moment, the Kalashnikovs headed towards him. Found in this situation, Klevi jumped off a nearby bridge where he was found dead 30 minutes later.
A few months after the assassination attempt on the Baho brothers, blood was shed again for the Alibej family. Andi Zylyfi, the son of Erjon Alibej's uncle, was executed in the village of Përparim. His only crime was his closeness to his cousin...
"They assassinated my uncle's son, a 25-year-old boy, a boy who had never received a traffic ticket in his life. They killed him just because he was near me, near my family who served me"
Erjon Alibey, otherwise known as "Krymi", became a shadow. He was protected not only from opponents, but also from justice. His plan was revenge... Here, his joint criminal journey with the fearsome killer Nuredin Dumani begins. The principle was well-known: "the enemy of my enemy is my friend..."
