Prime Minister Edi Rama, while speaking about the project in Zvërnec, rejected accusations of environmental damage and hidden interests.

The head of government expressed surprise at the opposing positions, ironizing the fact that the Greek media has lined up in support of the protesters' cause.

" How can I be against you and against myself at the same time, and how can the Greek newspapers be your allies in protecting the Albanian environment? Ask yourself, how does this happen? The Greek newspapers that are all filled with your cause today. Is there something wrong here? Or was the ''traitor'' found, the ''seller'' of the homeland was found, the ''corrupt'' was found and he is your prime minister!
Having said this, and sorry if I am too direct and perhaps even emotional, but this is my feeling because for me these are very surprising days ," said Rama.
