A 32-year-old Albanian man has been arrested in Italy, after being accused of raping his wife repeatedly over the years. The last incident happened on Tuesday around 13:00, when the police were notified and intervened in the couple's apartment.

According to Italian media, the authorities found the raped woman crying, while the Albanian was suspected to be under the influence of alcohol. The furniture and decorations thrown on the ground clearly pointed to a violent argument.

Even in the presence of law enforcement, the 32-year-old showed no signs of remorse and continued to insult his wife. The woman stated that she was punched and kicked, while the violence was repeated for years and was justified by her husband as a result of jealousy.

She was taken to the Monza hospital, where she received the necessary medical assistance.
