During the action, disciplinary investigation into an effective police and his superior was launched, which was found in violation of the rules, using a vehicle registered with foreign license plates.
The action knocks down claims raised in the investigative show, Fixed Fare, which alluded that the agreement signed between the police and the transport directorate for the removal from circulation of invalid foreign license plates is not being implemented.
Besmir Qibini has been appointed head of the Tirana Road Police since November last year. The action in question, as well as some other changes in the structure and manner of operation and organisation of road policing in Tirana, quickly gave the first effects on traffic relief in the city.
