Several portals in the country today published the news that the General Director of Police, Gladis Nano, has resigned.

The cause of this decision, according to the media, is the case of Ervis Martinaj's disappearance and recent criminal events. Official sources from the State Police told VOX News that the General Director of Police, Gladis Nano, has not resigned and continues to be in charge of his duties.

We recall that Gladis Nano took over the leadership of the State Police in October 2021 after the problems that preceded Ardi Veliu in the direction and management of the police force.

Nano previously held the post of Director of Anti-Terror and stood out with the operation for the evacuation of Albanians who were in the Al-Hol camp in Syria.
