A strong storm with winds, hail, rain and tornadoes is sweeping through Italy, and is expected to reach the Balkans and Albania over the weekend.

Italian meteorologists say the storm will bring a very cold air mass, causing temperatures to drop 15 degrees. The storm will bring flooding, rainfall and lightning as it passes through Italy, then Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Albania.

Satellite images show the storm's lower part is moving slower than the upper part that has already reached Slovenia, causing flooding.
Sicily and southern Italy could be affected by the storm tomorrow. Meteorologists say the weather will last for two or three days and then move towards normalization.
