The police have identified and arrested the suspected perpetrator of the tragic accident in Rrashbull, Durrës, on the Shkozet-Shijak axis, where 41-year-old Vasil Hasani lost his life.

After the collision, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene of the accident, leaving the 41-year-old, unassisted, lying on the road in the dark.

Vasili was returning home in the early hours of Friday, when while riding his bicycle, at around 02:00 he was hit by a vehicle.

For about four hours, the 41-year-old was allegedly left on the street without receiving the necessary help. It was only around 06:00 that a passerby found him and notified the authorities, but for Vasili it was too late. He had lost his life.

Vasili was the father of three minor children, two boys aged 14 and 10, and a 13-year-old girl. He leaves behind his wife and children, Vjolni, Klajda and Ermal. Also deeply saddened are his elderly parents.

A GoFundMe campaign has been launched today to support the Hasani family, who are facing a difficult situation after the loss of the 41-year-old.

The appeal of the family member who opened the campaign, Hasan's nephew, is for anyone who can contribute. Any help, no matter how small, can be a support for the wife and three children who have lost their father.
