VIDEO/ "Let me hug him, he solved my problems" - Pogradec resident

After the government resolved his problems, an elderly man stood outside the government residence in Pogradec for 5 hours to wait for the end of the Socialist Party meeting with political leaders.

In an interview with Euronews Albania journalist Xhensil Shkëmbin, the elderly man said that he wants to personally thank Prime Minister Edi Rama and the mayor, Ilir Xhakolli, for resolving his concerns.

Asked by the journalist if he would wait until the end of the meeting, the elderly man confirmed with conviction that he would stay there just to hug the prime minister.

Journalist: Once again, I don't understand, why would you meet Rama?

Sir: For the problems he posed to me, I followed them here, Ilir implemented them for me. And I embrace him.

Journalist: Who is Ilir, the mayor?

Gentleman: Eee.

Journalist: Did it solve them for you?

Sir: Yes.

Journalist: And you just want to thank him?

Gentleman: Yes, yes.

Journalist: It's getting late, Rama.

Gentleman: When it's over, I'll hug him once like this, that's all.

Journalist: Just to hug him?

Gentleman: Yes, that's it. I'll stay.
